Due to heavy traffic congestion expected near Discovery Park, SacRT is providing supplemental bus service for the Aftershock Festival from Thursday, October 10, 2024 through Sunday, October 13, 2024.

Buses will travel between the 8th & K bus stop in downtown Sacramento, to and from the stop located in front of the ARCO station on Jibboom Street (near Discovery Park).

GETTING THERE BY LIGHTRAIL

  • For your convenience, SacRT has 53 light rail stations and 22 park-and-ride lots in a 43-mile service area.
  • SacRT recommends parking at one of our key light rail stations for better customer service (Sunrise, Watt/Manlove, Franklin or Roseville Road).
  • Light rail trains operate every 15 minutes (except for Folsom* stations) during peak hours, and every 30 minutes during off-peak times. Click here for light rail schedules or visit sacrt.com

*Construction is underway between Iron Point and Historic Folsom stations and light rail service is not available. Shuttle buses are available instead. Light Rail service begins at Iron Point Station headed toward downtown Sacramento.

Note: Swanston Station on the Blue Line will be closed.

DOWNTOWN LIGHT RAIL ARRIVAL STATIONS
(Remember to look at the train head-sign for the correct direction of travel)

  • Passengers riding to downtown on the Blue Line from Citrus Heights/Roseville should exit the train at the 10 & K Station and walk to the 8th & K Bus Stop to board the bus to the Aftershock Festival (look for Aftershock signage identifying the stop). Note: Swanston Station is closed.
  • Passengers riding to downtown on the Blue Line from south Sacramento/Elk Grove should exit the train at the 9th & K Station and walk to the 8th & K Bus Stop to board the bus to the Aftershock Festival (look for Aftershock signage identifying the stop).
  • Passengers riding to downtown on the Gold Line from Folsom/Rancho Cordova should exit the train at the 8th & K Station and walk across the street to the 8th & K Bus Stop to board the bus to the Aftershock Festival (look for Aftershock signage identifying the stop).

Remember, light rail trains operate on one-way streets in downtown, so you will need to board return trains in a different location than where you exited.

DOWNTOWN LIGHT RAIL DEPARTURE STATIONS (return trip back)

  • Aftershock attendees taking transit back from the event will need to board buses at the same bus stop location as the drop off.
  • Passengers needing to travel back toward Citrus Heights/Roseville should exit the bus at the 8th & K Bus Stop and walk to the 9th & K Station to board a Blue Line train back to the destination station (look for the train headsign that reads “Watt/I-80”).
  • Passengers needing to travel back toward south Sacramento/Elk Grove should exit the bus at the 7th & Capitol Bus Stop and walk to the 7th & Capitol Station then board a Blue Line train back to the destination station (look for the train headsign that reads “Cosumnes River College or CRC”).
  • Passengers needing to travel back toward Rancho Cordova/Folsom stations should exit the bus at the 7th & Capitol Bus Stop and walk to the 7th & Capitol Station then board a Gold Line train back to the destination station (look for the train headsign that reads “Sunrise or Folsom”).

FARES

  • Thanks to a partnership with SacRT, Aftershock Festival attendees can ride SacRT buses and light rail trains FREE with an Aftershock admission ticket/band valid for entry that day (printed or electronic copy).
