Proposed Horn
Light Rail Station

Horn Road Station

RT and City of Rancho Cordova are designing a new light rail station at Folsom Boulevard and Horn Road in the City of Rancho Cordova.

This project would be a catalyst for development and improve connectivity to public transit. Using grant funds, preliminary design for light rail track layout is underway for the station and the environmental analyses are expected to be released to the public in late spring of 2015. Future construction of the station will be dependent on identification of funding.

Horn Road Station on the Gold Line

The proposed Horn Road Station would be located between the Butterfield and Mather Field/Mills light rail stations, near Horn Road on Folsom Boulevard across from the Rancho Cordova Library in the City of Rancho Cordova

The proposed Horn Road Station would provide improved transit service to existing civic amenities and the adjacent business park. It would also provide incentive for the development of infill housing on several large-scale underdeveloped properties in the area.

This project has been funded by a Sacramento Area Council of Government’s Community Design Grant (Federal Transit Administration's Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement Program) and contributions from the City of Rancho Cordova and RT.
